NTRODUCTION

This day was stream D turn, and guest tutors in this journey were Selemani Nannume and Hilal S Hilali. As usual normal protocols were followed and for that matter the time table arranged followed too.

SPRAYRACE

There is huge sprayrace at Narunyu Sisters centre, where by a lot of animal can get cleaned one at a time. Student got opportunity to see it and Sister Mbunda demonstrated to them how water is pumped from the tank untill they reach to sprinkler. The sprinkrers can watering animals in each sides, up and bottom, left and right, once got cleaned animals are directed to resting yard.

COST

This sprayrace is operated by electricity motor and it is very expensive for a normal farmer to afford. A lot of agriculture insitutes do not posess this machine because of it is high initial cost of purchasing.

SOURCE OF WATER

Narunyu sisters center has plenty of water which help them to run their activities efficiently. There is Nyasa liver stream which pass through 2500 hectare of their area, and they use the stream to find their sources of water, and got big tanks to collects water. As sister Mbunda said to establish the huge project like they run you need to have plenty of water. One cattle can drink 47 litres of water per day, the instute has 630 cattles, hence water is very important to them for rising cattle as well as increasing production.
